External Pressure Sensor

The External Pressure Sensors are used with the Wave Gauge Blue Pressure Sensor Array option. They are submersible pressure sensors designed to link to the Wave Gauge Blue for directional wave measurements. They are powered by the Wave Gauge Blue’s Battery Pack. The data link is a daisy chain RS485. The Pressure Sensors are identical to that of the Wave Gauge Blue’s Pressure Sensor.

External Pressure Sensors — Wave Gauge Blue

Technical Overview and Specifications

Description	The External Pressure Sensors are precision, submersible transducers designed to operate with the Wave Gauge Blue Pressure Sensor Array option. These sensors extend the Wave Gauge Blue’s capability for directional and spatial wave measurements, capturing accurate subsurface pressure data for comprehensive wave height and directional analysis.
Design and Construction	Each sensor employs a piezoresistive pressure sensing element housed in marine-grade 316L stainless steel or optional titanium for superior corrosion resistance. The sensors are fully sealed and rated for continuous submersion in ocean, coastal, or freshwater environments.
Data & Power Interface	Communication and power are managed through a daisy-chain RS485 link, supporting multi-drop connectivity for multiple sensors on a single bus. The Wave Gauge Blue Battery Pack provides stable 12 VDC power and data synchronization across all connected sensors.
